The Relais Luce project began with the desire to create a friendly, functional and modern space in Florence. As travel and design lovers, we wanted to share our knowledge for hospitality and passion for our city in an environment that would set our guests for a unique travel experience. A cosy reception area opens immediately into the light-filled living areas and the outdoor terrace. From the two floors of the building, you will be able to enjoy the splendid view of the Medici Chapel as well as Giotto’s Campanile, the same view made us fall in love with this location.

Light was an important feature for us: never intrusive and always well integrated into the architectural space.

Architect Francesco Santoni

A formal reference was made to the style of the 20’s, with a contemporary interpretation, perhaps New Heritage, but certainly with that touch of modernity which distinguishes the Relais from any other place in Florence. Space is made playful and cheerful thanks to its energy and colours.

A unique style

Everything is designed to give the feeling that nothing has been left to chance: the colours of the leathers are meant as references to the nuances of nature, integrated with wood left natural, brushed, ready to show off the essence of its grain, at times in contrast, but always in line with the unique style of the Relais Luce Florence.

Elegance and simplicity

Minimal, high quality features: wood and concrete, with references to natural stone such as the travertine floor of the kitchen tops and the bathroom washbasins. Everything recalls the clean shapes and the warmth colours of nature.

The Panorama From the Terrace

The kitchen and the common living room open onto the lovely terrace, where the breathtaking views of Florence take centre stage and the guests are the audience of this magical show.
